Trica
Jean-Baptiste, Principal
In just ten years, Trica Jean-Baptiste has created
inarguably one of the most creative and results-oriented
public relations agencies specializing in travel and
tourism in New York City. Customized public relations
campaigns in support of sales and marketing goals and
objectives and a commitment to getting the job done are
the hallmarks of the agency. Unlike other public relations
agencies whose focus is on overhead and billable hours,
Trica puts no limit on time spent with each client.
A much sought after editorial resource on industry trends
by broadcast and print journalists alike, Trica is often
quoted in national and international daily publications
such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York
Times and has appeared on local and national news
programs as spokesperson and guest of New York 1
News and MSNBC Live with Forest Sawyer.
Her high-profile status among the business and finance,
lifestyle, consumer and travel press has enabled her
to achieve prominent placement for her clients, which
have increased occupancy and revenue during critical
need periods.
Trica is a very active member of the hospitality and
communications industries, having held chair and board
member positions in communications and travel and tourism
associations such as New York Women in Communications,
Inc. and Public Relations Society of America's Travel & Tourism
Section. She is an associate member of the Society of
American Travel Writers, an association comprised of
leading journalists covering food, wine and travel. Additionally, Trica has served as judge of HSMAI’s Gold Bell Award competition and has won several of the awards; including the coveted 2007 Platinum Award for secure a multiple-page feature in Travel + Leisure on behalf of Sivory Punta Cana and Casa Colonial in Punta Cana and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.
Carly Topol, Managing Director
Carly is responsible for managing the overall public relations strategies for the agency’s luxury hotel and resort clients in Europe, New York and the Caribbean. In this role, her efforts have increased awareness and occupancy, and generated revenue in key market segments. Carly enjoys strong working relationships with key national and international media and has generated coverage throughout The New York Times, Elite Traveler, Forbes.com, Robb Report and The Financial Times. Her efforts have resulted in agency honors such as a 2008 Gold Award by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) for her work on behalf of Ginn Resorts. The honor was awarded for feature coverage of the client on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.
Prior to joining Trica Jean-Baptiste Communications, Carly served as an account executive with a travel and tourism public relations firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. Other work experiences include opportunities with Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and a consumer-based public relations agency. In these positions, she created and executed strategic public relations campaigns, generating measurable results.
Carly's passion for travel and extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry make her a much sought after source for media covering the industry. Her media skills along with industry knowledge enable her to successfully execute public relations campaigns; consistently surpassing the clients’ expectations. Carly is a graduate of the University of Florida where she received a B.S. in Public Relations and is also an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
